Epstien Environmental Resources, LLC was founded by Barb Epstien, an experienced certified industrial hygienist with a master’s degree in public health and a diverse, 30-year history of recognized accomplishments in occupational and environmental health encompassing consulting, training, and regulatory compliance.
Our expertise spans a variety of workplace, community, and residential settings as well as consumer products, along with “green” building initiatives and indoor air quality. We have provided environmental and industrial hygiene consulting services to a variety of clients in the manufacturing, commercial, government, and construction sectors, as well as healthcare and educational institutions and the retail and hospitality industries.
Assessing Employee Exposures
E2R can assess employee exposures to a wide range of chemicals and physical hazards in a variety of workplace settings. We have extensive field experience and training in industrial hygiene monitoring to evaluate a wide variety of occupational exposures.
Examples may include:
- Metals such as hexavalent chromium, lead, cadmium, welding fumes
- Organic solvents such as formaldehyde, benzene, methylene chloride, isocyanates, paints, amines
- Semi-volatiles such as pesticides, coal tar pitch volatiles
- Inorganic chemicals such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide
- Silica, asbestos, oil mist, wood dusts, nuisance particulates
- Physical agents such as noise
